You're a person with passion. Someone with a vision for a better future. So you've decided to do something about it. Maybe you've already setup your business? Or perhaps you're just thinking about it?

Either way, you're going to need an accountant. Someone who thinks the way you do, who understands what it takes to launch a new venture. Someone who'll support you through the journey, and who can communicate finance stuff in a simple, easy to understand way. That's where we come in.

You Count

Your business matters to us. We’re excited to work with you and help you understand your business finances better. We’ll help you grow your business and we'll be here for you when you need us. Maybe we’ll even help you love numbers too...

We Count

Adding stuff up and making sense of the numbers is what we do. Managing your finances, and helping you understand them makes us happy. It’s a two way relationship, and you need to be just as invested in this as we are. That way, we’ll add real value.

What’s included?

We’ve got your back

Think of us as your Virtual Finance Director. One of your team. You don't need to hire a full-time bean counter, when you've got us. We've run businesses ourselves, still do in fact, so we bring a broader perspective and commercial experience you won't find elsewhere.

Let's face it, everything is online nowadays, so it make sense that your accounts should be too. We'll help you choose the best suite of software for your business, then set it up for you & show you how it works. All of which we'll do in plain English, so you'll understand what's going on!

There's nothing worse than an accountant who doesn't return your calls or emails. We know, we've been there! You need someone that's proactive; who speaks to you regularly; who calls you out of the blue to tell you about something they think you need to know.

The detail

Like the sound of this but want to know more? We thought so. We've answered some of the most commonly asked questions to help you.

Yes! We’ve got a tonne of experience when it comes to raising finance. The market for funding has changed a lot over the past few years, but there’s still money out there to support the right businesses. We’ll help you craft a compelling proposition, and with us as your accountants they’ll be biting your hand off to give you money!
The answer is….it depends! Sole Trader is usually the best option for someone starting out on their own, but there may be good reasons for using a Limited Company. During our Discovery Call we’ll ask a number of questions, which will help us advise you on what’s best for your own personal circumstances.
When you setup a Limited Company, you’ll typically take on three roles – shareholder, director & employee. Each of those carries different responsibilities. We’ll explain what those are in plain English and make sure you understand what you’re getting yourself into.

Yes! For many of our clients we play an active role in their business, helping with things like preparing monthly financial reports and presenting them at Board Meetings. Because we’ve a wealth of experience running businesses and we’re involved with a number of startups, we understand how they work and therefore how to make an impact.
Managing cashflow is a huge issue for many businesses, and even more challenging for a Startup. The old adage of ‘Cash is King’ holds true. We’ll help you keep on top of cashflow, and because we use online accounting for EVERY client, we’ll be able to keep an eye on things remotely.
You’ll see a lot of accountants talk about doing ‘compliance work’. That’s their ham-fisted way of saying that they will ‘help’ you comply with your legal obligations to file accounts and tax returns. These things need to be done, and done well, but a modern accountant should be more proactive and helpful than that. It’s basically jargon, used by unhelpful bean-counters, who will be replaced by robots before too long.
